Chester J. Kilian, 91, of Mt. Prospect. Beloved husband of Alice Kilian (nee Orlowski) . Dear uncle of Joseph B. (Lynn) Kilian, Michael (Sheila) Arendt, James Arendt, Robert S. Kilian, Linda Kilian, and Tina Kilian, and Chris (Tom) Barr, and many great nieces and nephews. Fond brother- in-law of Wilma Kilian and Richard Orlowski. Preceded in death by his brothers Stanley and Casimir Kilian and sisters Helen Arendt and Sophie Kilian.

Chester was born August 28, 1925, in Chicago to parents Andrew and Mary Kilian (nee Klich). He attended St. Helen’s Grade School, Tuley High School, and later DeForest Training School (now DeVry University). During World War II, he served his country proudly in the Marines. Afterwards, he worked as an Electronics Quality Control Technician for Zenith and later, for over 34 years, at Motorola.

A longtime parishioner of St. Cecilia Church in Mt. Prospect, he was a member of The Knights of Columbus, North American Martyrs Council 4338 and American Legion Post 0208. Chester and his wife attended local plays, movies, festivals, and local concerts whenever possible.

Chester will be greatly missed by all!

Visitation Thursday, 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mt Prospect.

Visitation continues Friday, 9:00 A.M. until Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, Golf Rd. (Rt. 58) at Meier Rd, Mt. Prospect.
